Poem: Door

A rectangle of wood
Protects you, it it should
You feel like the door
Keeps you safe at your core
A chain saw
A vampire's gnaw
Anything could get through
But yet, you gave no clue
It is a segment of tree
Look at it an you could see
Even with a lock
It's like a nail in a block
Even the Romans trusted shield
From being struck by arrows in open fields
Yet they trusted metal
Now a glorified flower petal
A door like a huge wall
Stand between you and all
