Poetic Movie Review #1 of 2025: Nosferatu

 Nosferatu, myth, legend, the movie

A lesson in the art of gloomy

Melancholy, from having thick blood

The black and white arrives like a flood

The homage is absolutely stunning

The vampire is oh so cunning

There a touch of nudity

A bit of crudity

A dash of cruelty

Each character gives it their best

And yet your still left wondering

More than the rest

Why won't Thomas just guess

He's outclassed, outmatches, outfanged

A dall from grace, literal, metaphorical, and dang

Skarsgard unlocks a new accent

Call it eastern European with some maleficent

It's artistic, but not in your face

It's worldly and dramatic, but not all over the place

It does more than enough to go far

Four out of five stars.

Poem: A Story

Being young means never having your own tale
It means riding on coat tails
Those who have their own stories
Stories and stories tall
They take none of yours at all
Being young means never having your own tale
Trying it join the elders and fail
It means taking some from them
And telling your friends
Being a liar and a cheat
Just to create a feat
Being young means learning to accept
What hasn't happened yet
Stories will come your way
Maybe not yesterday or tomorrow
But possibly today.

Poetic Movie Review of Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman
Gets a hat and acquires some plans
It's a happy birthday
He's got to say
Why doesn't a single parent?
Seem to care a snowman came to life, it's apparent
Their kids are walking about
Singing and shouting
And no an adult comes to say
"What are you kid's doing anyway"
Regardless, with a corn cob pipe and a button nose
Frosty's going to die right?
That blows
It has a catchy tune
An a zany watery loon
It's fun to watch
I'll give it that
But at under an hour
It's hardly an attack
It has a color scheme
That feels like a dream
Voice acting, I do not remember
So it could not be bad
Want to see it? You'll be glad
4 stars out of five
Because this snowman is jive

Poetic movie review of Speed

In a rush
On a bus
A mad bomber thinks it to be just
Keep driving or bust
This movie predates saw
And breaks Newton's second Law
This isn't a thinking movie
This is just an absurd reality
The cool thing is that the action is in one space
A gasoline vs time kind of race
It is one of a kind
Kind of silly, if you don't mind
The plot is bad to strange
With a villain who is deranged
But the story progresses quick
The bus rushes off lickity split
It also spawned a dumb sequel
A cruise ship that can't stop, equal
They blew up a real plane
I don't know why, let the director explain
This bus will go far
But unfortunately it gets 1.5 stars

Poem Made of Words

I write
Despite
I have a computer
But I am one of fewer
Who prefers ink
To an uplink
That nice hand to paper
Light as a feather
I want my ideas to flow
Key strokes are just slow
I want everything I think
To appear first with no hyperlink
I need to believe that
Spell check won't cut the fat
It needs to be this way
Tomorrow and everyday
