Mimicry to summery

Once in a while, I would suggest attempting to mimic someone else's work. By this I mean, take a specific author or example from a work, extract from that the core principles of their writing. By doing this you can thrust yourself into that author's mindset, as you perceive it, and use their voice to evolve your own!
