Halloween: A Poem

It's Halloween, and the witches are out
Scream, bloody murder, and shout
Time for candy and tricks and treats
And a little bit of demonic feats
Kids in costumes from head to toe
Are they real monsters, no one knows
Eating candy and not blood and flesh
Giving mortals a day of rest
Run run, into the night air
Trip and fall, all unaware
Fore it is the day that tricks are in play
This is not an ordinary day
The Eve of Steve the evil man
Come to treat himself with a plan
Kidnapping and eating human adults
While their children aren't present
Because he can be seen by eyes of young
A mere mortal once, now without lungs
If you go missing, it's his fault
Because you are in the presence
Of a being beyond your sight
You can try, but
