Do I like emotions? Yes. Not all of them though, but why do we have them? Is it to feel warm and cuddly? Honestly, emotions even if they are more sophisticated now, seem to come front he ideal of being a unit. It is much easier to be a group of humans than it is to be a single human running around in the woods trying to find food.
If other humans care about you, then they might care whether or not you are eaten by a bear. As such, we developed relationships specifically to Foster emotion, so we don't get eaten by bears.
Since there is a positive emotion, there has to be an opposite like hatred. So, those people are ones you want to be eaten by a bear. Make sense? I think so.
